ABOUT

The Copenhagen Songwriters Festival is focused on original song craft and the vibrant songwriting scene in Denmark and beyond.

This volunteer run community event was founded in 2009 by American songwriter/Danish resident Brett Perkins in partnership with Kultur Vesterbro, and transitioned to the Copenhagen Songwriters Festival forening in 2014.

The goal of the festival is to provide an inclusive, multicultural annual event, promoting performing songwriters ‘New And Known’ to a wider audience.

We invite you to attend Denmark’s most hyggeligt event, where talented artists from several genres and countries can be heard presenting their original works.

The Copenhagen Songwriters Festival features original music performed by those who wrote it, revolving around stories, quality songwriter’s craftsmanship and a wide range of genres and performances, young talents, gender diversity, pleasant ambiance and talented artists with a whole lot of heart!

The festival was founded in 2009 by Brett Perkins in collaboration with Kultur Vesterbro (now Kulturanstalten), and transitioned to a non-profit, volunteer run event in 2014.
